While Calgary is home to many local burger joints that feature more than a dozen creative beef burgers on their menus, there aren’t many spots where chicken sandwiches get that same spotlight and range of flavours.

Enter Birdie, a new fast-casual restaurant in Collingwood that specializes in the mighty chicken sandwich. With seven chicken sandwiches to choose from (plus a vegetarian option with a chickpea patty), there’s something for everyone whether you like your chicken burger plain, spicy or somewhere in-between. Sandwich flavours include Cajun, Mediterranean, Nashville, barbecue, chipotle and tandoori, which features a tasty mint sauce.

Several sides ranging from waffle fries to macaroni salad can be added to your order. For drinks, you’ll find four Cold Garden beers on tap, or you can choose from seven milkshake flavours like Biscoff or mango.

And if you wondered why Birdie’s logo features a chicken with a golf club, you’ll soon find out when you get inside the restaurant. Yes, it’s a nod to the featured protein at this spot, but there’s also a small putting green inside where you can practice your shot while you wait for your food.
