Aditya Chaudhuri facilitates access to funding for countries worldwide, but his motivation starts at home.
Besides hosting major events on energy transition and global development, Chaudhuri is president of the Calgary chapter of Engineers Without Borders and co-founder of Water Movement, a platform to address the Indigenous water crisis with Indigenous water operators and leaders. He also co-leads the largest national survey of Indigenous operators, and helped establish National Indigenous Water Operator Day.
As a musician, Chaudhuri leads Raga Mala Music Society of Calgary and Madhuban Performing Arts, two organizations promoting South Asian music, dance, arts and culture. “I don’t want my identity to be just my nine-to-five,” he says. “It’s the energy and excitement of all the cool things I get the privilege of working on that keep me going.”
