During the pandemic, Theresa Tang saw an urgent need for people to have a clearer understanding of public health measures. That’s why, in 2021, she launched Praxus Health, a non-profit organization devoted to creating healthier communities through public health messaging campaigns, research and uncovering health-care disparities, and national coalitions advancing care to Canada’s most clinically vulnerable people.
Praxus Health’s mobile health delivery clinic, the Lung Health Check clinic, is Canada’s first mobile pulmonary function testing van for rural and remote communities. The non-profit is now a multi-million-dollar organization with more than 500 partners.
“There are no limits to what is possible to create healthier futures for people,” says Tang.
