A career-ending football injury could have derailed Blair Ector’s ambitious future. His work, including a successful constitutional challenge of the federal government’s use of the Emergencies Act to freeze bank accounts, has helped shape modern Canadian law. “I really enjoy the aspect of passing on knowledge,” Ector says. And he’s still a leader in athletics, giving back to the community by coaching youth sports.
