The Glow Starts Here

What to see at ZOOLIGHTS this year.

Like a warm winter hug, Calgary’s favourite holiday tradition is back for its 20th year to brighten your smiles and your hearts. This year ZOOLIGHTS has enchanting new themes and special guests as well as the classic activities Calgarian’s have come to love. You’ll find games on migration, hibernation and adaptation to teach you about animal behaviours, all while having a sparkling good time. Bring your family and friends to experience the magic of ZOOLIGHTS and feel good about supporting animal conservation.

Light up your smile indoors and out with the ENMAX Conservatory activities and displays with Alice and her magical friends from Wonderland. The ENMAX Conservatory will be divided into three sections, with free visits with Santa in the Queen’s court, the Mad Hatter’s tea party in the butterfly garden and “down the rabbit hole” in the Garden of Life.

Did you think that ZOOLIGHTS is just a bunch of twinkling bulbs? It’s so much more fun than that, and you’ll want to fit in all the great activities (split it into multiple visits if you can).

Every Thursday

If you’re planning to visit on a Thursday evening you’ll want to visit the Mad Hatter in the ENMAX Conservatory’s butterfly garden.

Saturdays and Sundays

Relax while someone else reads you a tale at story time, an indoor activity in the ENMAX Conservatory. For more excitement, experience the Mobile Escape Room.

Wednesday, Dec. 6

See woodwind trio Trinity Winds in the ENMAX Conservatory Atrium.

Friday, Dec. 8 and Friday, Dec. 22

Follow your ears to the choirs performing on the Zoo grounds.

Visit the activity page for updates on special guests throughout ZOOLIGHTS. Buy ZOOLIGHTS tickets and plan your visit.
